Prof. Shoucheng Zhang is Founding Chairman of Danhua Capital, member of National Academy of Science and Fellow of American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is a world- renown physicist and a tenured professor at Stanford University since 1993.

He discovered a new state of matter called topological insulator in which electrons can conduct along the edge without dissipation, enabling a new generation of electronic devices with much lower power consumption. For this ground breaking work he received numerous international awards, including the Benjamin Franklin Medal, one of the most prestigious science prizes in the world, whose previous laureates include Albert Einstein, Madame Curie, Stephen Hawking and Thomas Edison. He is identified as one of the top candidates for Nobel Prize by Thomson Reuters in 2014. His discovery of topological insulator was featured in the TV show “Big Bang Theory”, with 40 million viewers. He is also the winner of Guggenheim fellowship, the Alexander von Humboldt research prize, the Europhysics prize, the Oliver Buckley prize, the Dirac Medal and Prize, the Yuri Milner Physics Frontiers Prize.
Beside his achievements in scientific research, Prof. Zhang has great passion in entrepreneurship and investment as well. He has made angel investments into Stanford based startups including VMWare (NYSE:VMW, $46B Market Cap at peak)strong> and DivX (acquired by Sonic Solutions for $323M). He plays a very important role in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in both US and China. He is a co-founder of HYSTA, Silicon Valley’s largest association for Chinese tech entrepreneurs, where Jack Ma (Founder of Alibaba) and Jerry Yang (Founder of Yahoo) first met and later on Yahoo made its legendary investment in Alibaba.
Professor Zhang received his B.S. from the Free University of Berlin in 1983 and Ph.D. in Physics in State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1987.

Dr. Andrew Gu is a Founding Partner of Danhua Capital. Along with Prof. Shoucheng Zhang, Dr. Gu co-founded Danhua Capital and grew the fund size from zero to 92M USD within half year. Danhua Capital is recognized as one of the fastest-growing and best-performing venture capital firms in Silicon Valley.
Dr. Gu received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford University. He has over 10-year entrepreneurship and venture investment experience in both U.S. and China. Prior to his investment career, Dr. Gu was an early core team member of InvenSense (IPO in 2011, NYSE: INVN), a leading sensor technology provider for mass- market product such as smartphone, gaming, drone, robotics, AR/VR, wearable devices, etc. It also plays an essential role in the era of Internet of Things and sensor networks.
Dr. Gu has rich R&D, entrepreneurship and venture investment experience. Previously, he worked at IBM Almaden Research Center. He also worked at Vertex Venture Management, the US venture capital arm of Temasek Holdings, one of the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world.

He is also an investor in Flexport, Altspace VR, Blockscore, Move Loot among others. Previously Kevin worked at IDG-Accel Capital Partners and ZhenFund-Sequoia Capital Partnership.
Kevin was an executive team member of Mamabang, a Pinterest style mobile e-commerce platform for rising middle-class moms, where he led the product and operations and took from idea to M&A. He is also a cofounder of a robotics spinout from Stanford AI lab, leveraging decades of research in robotics and computer vision to build remotely controllable smart research robots and vision based sensor systems. Before his entrepreneurial pursuits, he was a business team member of Microsoft and a product manager of Sina Weibo.
Kevin led the Kairos Society, the largest and most recognized network of college entrepreneurs in the world, where he is Silicon Valley regional cofounder. He cofounded Startup Mafia club at Stanford and served on Entrepreneur Club leadership at Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a Stanford Phi Kappa Psi fraternity brother where many outstanding startups were born, such as Snapchat. Kevin holds a B.S in computer science from Stanford University, and gradated from Lenovo’s CEO program.

Prior, Dovey worked as Product Manager at eBay, led a team over 20 to work on high priority global initiative “Trending on eBay” which serves as a shopping landing destination on multiple entry points. Before she transitioned into product management, Dovey was Senior Product Analyst dedicated in big data analysis and machine learning research at eBay. She led the product integration of recommendation engine post eBay-Hunch acquisition which contributed 5% of eBay’s annual revenue (~4 billion GMV). She has worked on multiple high visible data infrastructure and analytic platform projects as data science engineer prior to that.
Outside eBay, Dovey is the founding member and US Chief Representative for 36kr, the leading technology media and online syndicate platform in China, which is backed by Alibaba with over 1 billion valuation. She was in charge of business development with top-tier venture firms, media coverage for silicon valley startups and interviews with senior executives. Prior, Dovey has worked at Bank of Montreal (NYSE: BMO) as IT Governance Officer for cyber security and online banking fraud detection. Dovey is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with Master of Information System management. She received her Bachelor in Software Engineering from Sun-Yat Sen University, where she served as school student union president. She was selected by US State Department and China Ministry of Education as one of the 30 undergrad student leaders to participate in the Sino-US Undergrad Exchange Program.
